316 Stainless Steel Cap BSP

DESCRIPTION

316 Stainless Steel BSP Cap designed for hygienic, corrosion-resistant sealing in food & beverage processing, marine environments and corrosive industrial applications. Manufactured from high-grade 316 stainless steel for long-lasting protection and secure closure.

What This Fitting Does

A BSP cap is used to seal or close off a male BSP-threaded pipe or fitting. It provides a reliable, sanitary closure for unused outlets, maintenance points, system extensions or spare lines.

Why Choose a Stainless Steel Cap?

  • Provides a strong, leak-proof seal on male BSP threads.
  • Prevents contamination, fluid loss and dirt ingress in sanitary systems.
  • More durable than plastic or brass alternatives, especially in corrosive environments.
  • Reusable and service-friendly for equipment maintenance or system changes.

Material Advantages - 316 Stainless Steel

  • Exceptional corrosion resistance to chemicals, saltwater and CIP cleaning cycles.
  • Suitable for breweries, wineries, dairies, distilleries and food-processing facilities.
  • Ideal for marine and coastal applications requiring maximum durability.
  • Performs reliably under heat, pressure and frequent washdown.

Common Applications

  • Sealing unused male outlets on valves, pumps and pipework
  • Washdown and hot/cold water plumbing systems
  • Maintenance isolation and test points
  • Marine and corrosive fluid-handling systems

Each BSP cap is precision-machined from solid 316 stainless steel, ensuring hygienic, reliable sealing for sanitary and corrosive environments.

Care information

To ensure maximum service life and safe performance of your equipment, please follow these general care guidelines:

  • Clean after use – Rinse or CIP components to remove product, residue or cleaning chemicals.
  • Avoid kinks, crushing or sharp bends – Protect hoses and assemblies from mechanical damage.
  • Store correctly – Hang hoses or reels where possible; keep fittings and clamps dry and off the floor.
  • Inspect regularly – Check for wear, abrasion, loose clamps, damaged gaskets or compromised seals.
  • Use compatible cleaning chemicals – Follow manufacturer guidelines for caustic, acid or sanitiser exposure.
  • Protect from high heat / UV – Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, heaters or hot surfaces unless rated for it.
  • Depressurise before disconnecting – Always release system pressure before removing hoses or fittings.
  • Replace worn components promptly – Gaskets, clamps, seals and hose ends should be renewed as needed.

Proper routine care extends lifespan, improves hygiene and ensures safe, reliable operation across all brewery, winery, distillery and food-processing environments.
