Our washdown hoses are built for demanding brewery, winery, dairy and food-processing environments. Choose between durable economy PVC red hoses for everyday washdown or premium rubber blue hoses for high-temperature and high-pressure sanitation. Every hose is custom-assembled to order.

Hose Options

🔴 Barfell Hi-Temp Red (Economy)

• High-temperature PVC washdown hose
• Fitted with standard low-pressure brass BSP tapered male ends
• Medium-duty brass crimp ferrules
• Suitable for cold to hot water applications
• Best value option for light medium commercial washdown

🔵 Continental Fortress „¢ Blue FDA (Premium)

• Premium rubber hose for professional sanitising and daily washdown
• 316 high-pressure stainless-steel tails and ferrules for maximum retention strength
• Recommended for applications above 80 °C
• FDA-compliant tube; excellent abrasion and chemical resistance
• Preferred for breweries, distilleries and food operations with high heat cycles

Standard Features

• 1/2" BSPT male ends fitted as standard
• Optional live swivel at one end Ideal when connecting to a gun without its own swivel.
• Bend restrictor included on every assembly Install at the gun end made from a special UV- and ozone-resistant elastomer, far superior to typical rubber.
• Available in 5m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 30m and up to 50m lengths

• Rated to 50 °C
• Lightweight and ergonomic
• Excellent for general rinsing and daily cleaning
• Cost-effective option for moderate washdown needs

🔵🔴 PA RB65 Gun Hot Washdown (Blue or Red)

• High-temperature heavy-duty washdown gun
• Available in blue or red for colour-coding
• Excellent flow control and comfortable trigger action
• Ideal for breweries and processing plants using hotter water

Temperature Recommendations

• General hot/cold washdown: Both hoses suitable
• Above 80 °C: Choose Fortress Blue (316 stainless ends) for superior retention and heat stability
• PVC red hose: Best for everyday washdown where extreme heat isn't required

To ensure maximum service life and safe performance of your equipment, please follow these general care guidelines:

• Clean after use – Rinse or CIP components to remove product, residue or cleaning chemicals.
• Avoid kinks, crushing or sharp bends – Protect hoses and assemblies from mechanical damage.
• Store correctly – Hang hoses or reels where possible; keep fittings and clamps dry and off the floor.
• Inspect regularly – Check for wear, abrasion, loose clamps, damaged gaskets or compromised seals.
• Use compatible cleaning chemicals – Follow manufacturer guidelines for caustic, acid or sanitiser exposure.
• Protect from high heat / UV – Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, heaters or hot surfaces unless rated for it.
• Depressurise before disconnecting – Always release system pressure before removing hoses or fittings.
• Replace worn components promptly – Gaskets, clamps, seals and hose ends should be renewed as needed.
